Well, where were you all?
Actually, probably good you didn't turn up, the 9 of us on 6 bikes was a perfect size group
Chris, Bronny, David & Cindy with Mick and Kitty bringing up the rear followed the Old Man logo on the vest that Mary was wearing to Dal Mondo's in Traralgon for morning tea. Excellent coffee and it even came with a biscuit.
From there, south past Callignee and Mount Tassie and through the Tarra-Bulga National Park.
The little town of Balook only seems to have one shop, and there were a group of dirt riders there having coffee or brunch or something, but the shop must be fairly multicultural as there were also 2 people fully kilted (spelling deliberate) out in their Scottish finery just unpacking something from their car. Maybe it's just a comfortable way to travel.....Anyway, interesting looking store and would make an excellent drop in place sometime. Oh, and we did stop at the waterfall there also.
Interesting riding through there; single track, quite windy, narrow wooden planked bridges and caravans. Must be a popular spot as there were a lot there parked at a site in the Tara Valley.
Anyway, south from there through Yarram where Joe wasn't going to try the club hotel again and to Port Albert Wharf where we were blown away by the excellent Fish & Chips.
Easy run home on The South Gippy Hwy with Chris, David and Mick peeling off before Tooradin. Should have stayed, the hot chocolate was good and the Malted milkshakes were apparently good also. Apparently Helen does spiders as well. We used to call them root beer floats in my time, the others suggested that it was an age thing, maybe it was a Queensland thing.
Excellent day out thank you Joe & Mary.
