Like last year Shearwaters will be supporting Adopt A Family which is organised by BUNNINGS and the Salvation Army.
We have TWO families this year:- the first is the Aster Family (all families have flower names) this family consists of a Mother aged 26 years and a 6 year old Daughter. Their story is one of family violence from the daughters father who has had an AVO for the past 2 years and the mother suffers a mental illness.
Our other family is the Cyclamen Family consisting of a Mother and a 19 month old son. All her family is in Sth America and her sons father gives little support. The mother is working part time and studying online to make a better life for her and her son in the future. The wage she earns go to paying the house and bills and not much else.
Our Club has been very generous in the past and I hope you can get behind us and support these in need.
Our donations are to be delivered to BUNNINGS CRANBOURNE BY TUESDAY 13th DECEMBER so we only have ONE SOCIAL NIGHT before this date so any donations after our November Social can be dropped off at Peter & Wendy's house or at Tooradin on Saturday mornings.
DONATIONS OF FOOD OR A GIFT IS ACCEPTABLE. IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHAT TO BUY, MONETARY DONATIONS OR COLES OR WOOLWORTHS VOUCHERS CAN BE GIVEN TO WENDY TO MAKE PURCHASES.
